BEATEN UP: An area Nazim was allegedly beaten up by paramedics of Qatar Hospital in Orangi Town on Wednesday.

The area Nazim, Mohammed Habib, brought an injured patient to Qatar Hospital for treatment. The duty doctor told the Nazim to first get a patient’s slip. The Nazim insisted that the patient should be attended first, and formalities could be dealt with later. This led to arguments resulting in manhandling of the Nazim by paramedical staff of the hospital, the police said.

Later, the Nazim approached the police. However, no case had been registered when this report was filed.
