KARACHI, Feb 4: The University of Karachi on Monday announced the results of the Karachi University syndicate election to the seats for professors, associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers.

According to a notification, Prof Dr Aqueel Ahmed Khan (Microbiology), Associate Prof Dr Anila Amber Malik (Psychology), Assistant Prof Dr Shakeel-ur-Rehman (Genetics) and lecturer Saba Masood (Economics) stood elected to the syndicate seats.

The new members have been elected for a three-year term which will start with the next meeting of the syndicate.

Holiday

The University of Karachi, through a notification, has announced that Feb 5 will be observed as a holiday on account of the Kashmir Day.—PPI
