KARACHI: Iranian film festival

KARACHI, Jan 30: An Iranian film festival will kick off on Saturday with the film “M as Mother” directed by Rasool Mulla Qulipour, showing at 4pm at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. The festival will conclude on Feb 6, says a press release.

The event is being organised by the Khana-i-Farhang — the Iranian cultural centre — to mark the 29th anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The schedule of films to be shown is as follows:

Feb 3: Sun of Egypt at 2pm; Love Without Borders, at 4pm; and Holy Mary, at 7pm.

Feb 4: Darkness & Light, at 4pm; and Under the Peach Tree, at 7pm.

Feb 5: A Bit of Bread, at 4pm; The Line of Fire, at 7pm.

Feb 6: Acclaimed director Majid Majidi’s Pidar (Father) at 4pm; and Fairy at 7pm.
