LAHORE, Jan 24: Three goals by Raja Samiullah enabled Telenor to beat Newage/Rangers 7- 6 1/2 in the 7-12 Goals Polo Cup on Thursday.

Taimur Ali Malik and Saqib Khan Khakwani added two goals each for the winners.

For the losers, who had 1 ½- goal handicap, Shah Qubilai Alam (2), Asif Zahoor, Shah Shamyl Alam and Adnan Jalil added one goal each.

Four-goal Tomas Remioso supported by a half-goal handicap helped Pyramid Gas beat mobilink 7 1/2 - 7 in the second close match of the day.

Mir Shoaib, Naved M Sheikh and Atif Tiwana added one goal each in the last stages when the winners were on the losing end 7-4 1/2.

For the losers, Dhruvpal Godara (4) and Ahmed Ali Tiwana (3) shared the scoring honours.
