SARGODHA, April 7: Millat Party chief Farooq Leghari has said it is in the interest of country’s integrity and solidarity to support Gen Pervez Musharraf in the referendum.

Speaking at a workers’ meeting here on Sunday, Mr Leghari alleged the previous governments plundered national wealth through illegal means and gave no importance to court judgments.

He urged party workers to win the confidence of the people. He also invited leaders of other political parties to join the Millat Party to make the country a strong fortress of Islam.

He said his party was determined to enforce a democratic order and uphold the supremacy of law in the country, and for this purpose it had decided to support the referendum.
