KARACHI, April 2: An unannounced loadshedding is being observed by the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation in parts of Korangi.

Residents from Korangi-3, Allahwala Town, Bhitai Colony, Altaf Town, and Korangi Industrial Area said on Tuesday that for the last five days there had been no power supply from 7pm to 9pm and beyond.

“Today the light went off at 7pm and there is no light at 9.05pm,” said a resident from Bhitai Colony.

Residents said students were preparing for matric and Inter examinations and the absence of power supply were badly affecting their studies.

A resident from Korangi-3 said there had been no power supply from 6.30pm till 8.30pm on Tuesday. He also said the situation had persisted for five days.
