PESHAWAR, Dec 26: Sindh ‘A’ defeated PTV 3-0 in the men’s team event in the 45th edition of the National table tennis championship which got under way at the PSB Coaching Centre here on Wednesday.

More than 200 players, including 100 female players, are taking part in the championship.

Competitions are being held in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women doubles, team events and mixed doubles.

Wapda and HBL are defending their teams’ titles in men’s and women’s competitions. Bilal Ahmed and Ghalia of the HBL are defending their titles in men’s and women’s singles respectively.

Two teams each from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP, along with departmental teams of Wapda, Railways, Army, HEC, PTV, PWD, OGDC are vying for top honours.
