HYDERABAD, Dec 20: An initial report released by the Sindh Agriculture University Tando-jam has cautioned the public that the food cooked in microwave oven may be harmful for human health.

The research was jointly conducted by the first vice-chancellor of the Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Dr A.Q. Ansari, present vice-chancellor Dr Basheer Ahmed Shaikh and Professor (Dr) Ghulam Haider Jamro of agronomy department.

The report said that the invention of microwave has brought about a revolution in cooking and heating of food but on the other hand the latest research has suggested that chemical changes took place in food while heating it in the microwave and oven were harmful for human health.
