Two injured in gas cylinder explosion

RAWALPINDI, Dec 17: Two persons sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in a restaurant at Soan on Monday. The blast also caused damage to the restaurant and created panic in the area, police said.

The explosion, which was followed by a fire, occurred when a hotel employee put a match to the gas stove at Madni hotel.

Two persons - Hashu-ur-Rehman and Abdul Kaleem - received burns in the incident.

Rehman was given first-aid by Rescue 1122 staff on the spot while Kaleem with 40 per cent burns was shifted to Holy Family Hospital, where he is stated to be in a critical condition.—Staff Reporter
