KOHAT, March 27: A large number of local Christian community participated in special services for the victims of Islamabad church blast here at the St. Augustan and Catholic churches amidst tight security on Sunday.

The Priest of St. Augustan church, Rafique and Father Stagar of Catholic church offered prayers for those who died in the Islamabad blast last week and prayed to God almighty to rest all the victims in peace and happiness. The fasting community hoped for the early recovery of those injured in the incident.

They also prayed for the solidarity, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and stressed tolerance and harmony among the different sects and communities, adding that all human beings were equal and brothers.

Meanwhile, the secretary general of minority wing of Awami National Party, Javed Samar, in a statement demanded of the government to arrest and award exemplary punishment to the terrorists involved in the attack on International Protestant Church, Islamabad. He said the Christian community was not in a position to identify or accuse any particular party but it was the responsibility of the government to seize the culprits involved in the murder of innocent people.
