MIRPURKHAS, Nov 9: Construction on land allocated for green belt, adjacent to Public Health Engineering Department, Satellite Town, was going on under the nose of Taluka Nazim, Mirpurkhas. Reports said encroachers are building boundary wall to cover a big part of land reserved for green belt.

In the past, a large piece of land was officially approved along Iqbal Road for green belt. Later, some officers of the Public Health Engineering Department occupied some land by constructing boundary wall and established a park at the occupied land.

Few years back when Army Monitoring Team was working with district administration, encroachment of the Public Health Engineering Department was removed under the supervision of military officials.
