MARDAN, Nov 1: Fifty candidates of the Awami National Party have submitted applications for party tickets for three national assembly and eight provincial assembly seats in Mardan.

Two candidates have applied for seats reserved for women and three for minority seats.

Those who have applied for NA tickets are: ANP’s senior vice-president Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti and his son Farooq Khan Hoti as his cover candidate (NA-9), former MNA Haji Naseemur Rehman, Toufique Khan, Mohammad Qayyum Khan and Mohammad Farooq Khan (NA-10) and Haji Naseemur Rehman, Inayat Khan Babozai and Mohammad Sheheryar Khan Amirzada (NA-11).

Those applied for provincial assembly seats are: Amir Haider Khan, Imran Ahmed, Ubaid Razzaq Khan and Mohammad Shahid Khan (PF-23), Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti and his son Farooq Khan, Haji Ahmed Bahader Khan, Haji Jamil Khan, Haji Noor Gul Mehmand (PF 24), ANP’s former provincial joint secretary Naveed Khan, Ghanidad Khan, PkSF former president Saeed Alam Baba, Asifullah Mayar and Said Mohammad (PF-25), Mian Tahir, Toufiq Khan, (PF-26), Riaz Ali Khattak, Sheheryar Khan, Akhtar Ali Khan, Imran Khan, Qayyum Khan and Umarzada Khan (PF-27), Jamil Gohar Ali Bacha, Abbas Khan, Roz Mohammad Khan, Shuaib Khan, Zakir Shah Bacha, Inayat Khan and Mohammad Ibad Khan (PF-28), Mohammad Zahid Jamal Bacha, Mohammad Azam Khan, Mohammad Zaman, Toufiq Khan and Falak Naz Khan (PF-29) and Rashid Sherzada and Mohammad Sheheryar Amirzada applied for PF 30.

Sadia Qayyum and Dr Arab Bashir applied for women seats and Ashok Kumar, Gul Roshan and Dr Suresh Rajpal for minority seats.
