KARACHI, Oct 22: The Federal Shariat Court on Monday adjourned till Oct 30 hearing of a petition seeking implementation of an earlier judgment of the court regarding amendment to the Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on contempt in respect of other prophets.

The petition, filed by Ilyas Masih advocate under Article 203-D of the Constitution, came up for hearing before an FSC bench comprising Chief Justice Haziqul Khairi, Justice Dr Fida Mohammad Khan and Justice Salahuddin Mirza. The petitioner submitted that on Oct 30, 1990, the FSC passed a judgment directing the federal government to amend Section 295-C. —APP
