KARACHI, Oct 18: Chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) Ghinva Bhutto on Thursday called on Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and discussed with him the political situation obtaining in the country.

Political analysts attach great importance to the meeting between Ghinva Bhutto, who leads a breakaway faction of the PPP, and Dr Arbab, president of the PML-Q, as it has been held the same day her sister-in-law and chairperson of PPP, Benazir Bhutto, has returned to the country.

Insiders believe that the PPP-SB chairperson also discussed with the PML-Q leader possibility of seat adjustment, particularly in Larkana district, for the upcoming general elections.

It is learnt that the chief minister has given a positive response to Ms Ghinva in this regard. It was, however, noted during the meeting that a seat adjustment formula would be finalised after the announcement of the election schedule.
