MULTAN, March 21: Thunderstorm which lashed the city and its suburban areas on Thursday evening made the weather pleasant.

The storm was preceded by intermittent rain which started in the afternoon and continued in intervals till late in the evening.

The local meteorological office recorded 6mm of rain. The Met office has forecast more thunderstorm/rain in Multan.

A Met official said the rain was the outcome of a weather disturbance only in Multan and its outskirts.

Agriculture experts said the rain would be a blessing for wheat growers in the face of water shortage. Moreover, it brought down mercury level as high temperature caused shrinking of grain in wheat cob.
