PESHAWAR, Oct 10: A ceremony regarding the “Salam Teacher Day” was observed by the National Commission for Human Development in collaboration with the education department at the residence of the D.I. Khan DCO on Wednesday.

The DCO presided over the meeting and appreciation certificates were distributed among the teachers for their services towards education in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said that place and position which “we have gained now is the result of services and hard work of our kind teachers. Teachers, students and parents are like a triangle, if one of them is not fulfilling its responsibility the whole society will suffer badly.”

EDO (E) Abdur Rahim said that teachers, who were not fulfilling their responsibilities and duties for the promotion of education, were playing with the future of the nation and making themselves a stigma on the face of the education department.—APP
