KARACHI, Oct 8: Sialkot took another step towards the final of the PCB Inter-regional Under-19 Three-day Cricket Championship after bundling out Quetta for a paltry 86 in the last Group ‘B’ fixture at the Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala on Monday.

Sialkot, who have already qualified for the one-day final last Saturday, consolidated their stronghold of the match by closing 201 for one at stumps on the opening day with Zaman Jamil batting on 88.

Quetta were undone by speedsters Mohammad Abbas and Adil Raza after Sialkot skipper Haris Sohail elected to field first. Abbas finished with six for 29 in 12.5 overs while Adil took four for 37 in 11 overs.

Karachi Urban were on top against Hyderabad after the visitors were all out for 117 in 45.3 overs. Spinners Osama Basharat and Hafiz Ahsan Baig captured four wickets each. Karachi Urban ended the day 183 for five.

A fine partnership of 133 between Irfan Khan and Saleh Mohammad helped Abbottabad recover from 132 for six to 288 against Lahore Ravi at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium.

Irfan led the way with a 137-ball 115, which included 17 fours. Saleh made 56. Lahore Ravi replied with 62 for one.

Islamabad also enjoyed a good against Karachi Harbour at the Diamond Club Ground where the hosts piled up 344 in 82.4 overs with Ghulam Murtaza (80) and Yasir Waheed (57) the main run-getters.

Yasir Ajmal was extremely unfortunate to miss out on a hundred by just single run as Lahore Shalimar posted 264 against Multan at the Gymkhana Ground in Okara.

Yasir slammed 18 boundaries in 99 off 127 deliveries.
