NAWABSHAH, Sept 26: At least 10 persons were arrested for attacking on police party on Wednesday.

According to police, a team of Investigation Police went for the recovery of two women and three children of Solangi tribe. As the police party reached the colony, more than 50 Chandio tribesmen attacked them with clubs and axes, however police controlled the situation and arrested 10 persons namely Irshad, Mian Bux, Shah Bux, Jumman, Mohammad Paryal, Masti, Ghulam Mustafa, Ameer Bux and Ali Bux, all Chandio by caste and booked them.

looted: Some unidentified armed men looted a passenger pickup van at Daur Road on Wednesday. Reports said four unidentified armed persons embarked in a passenger pickup van for Daur.

As they reached Buchheri, the armed persons got hold of driver and other passengers on gunpoint and looted cash and valuables including gold and mobile phones and escaped. FIR could not be lodged due to a dispute between Daur and B-Section Police over jurisdiction.
