KARACHI: Liquor victim loses eyesight

KARACHI, Sept 23: The after-effects of toxic bootleg liquor are still being felt from across the city as a new case was brought to the Jinnah Hospital from Cattle Colony on Sunday.

Police Surgeon Bashir Shaikh told Dawn that Abbas Masih was brought from the Cattle Colony area with symptoms of nausea and severe cramps. The victim has lost his eyesight due to the consumption of the liquor, Dr Shakih added.

A duty officer of the Sukhan police station also confirmed the incident.—Staff Reporter
