KARACHI, Sept 21: The Chief justice of the Sindh High Court has ordered that on next dates of hearing of the May 12 violence cases by its larger bench, no litigant whose cases are fixed on such date, can enter the SHC premises without obtaining the passes to be issued by the court.

According to an announcement made by the SHC registrar, the entry passes will be issued only to the persons concerned who may collect the same one day before the date of hearing of their cases from the office of the OSD (M&S) of the high court.

The lawyers appearing in court will have to produce their respective Bar Council’s cards and produce the same to the security personnel deployed at the entrance gate of the court’s compound.

Staff members of the high court will have to show their service cards to security personnel, adds the registrar.

Meanwhile, the Karachi Bar Association has reiterated its demand for the transfer of the May 12 case to the high court of Balochistan or Peshawar.—APP
