HYDERABAD: Loadshedding ignites protest

HYDERABAD, Sept 20: Residents of various localities of Hyderabad on Wednesday staged a demonstration in protest against unannounced loadshedding.The enraged residents of Tilak Incline, Dadan Shah, Sireghat, commercial area and other adjacent areas came out on the roads and stage sit-in against frequent power shutdowns.

The protesters complained that they were facing hardships due to frequent power closure especially during Iftar and Sehri. Power shutdowns also badly affected the water supply, they said. The unannounced loadshedding was being carried out in almost all the areas of Latifabad, Hyderabad City and Qasimabad.—Bureau
