HYDERABAD, Sept 19: The government should protect and rehabilitate special people through legislation and enforce their employment quota in true perspective, said founder Chairman Apna Sahara Welfare Society Trust, Jafar Shah.

He was speaking at a press conference with his wife Farzana Shah, Ghulam Rasool Chishti and others on Tuesday.

Apna Sahara, Jafar Shah said, was a registered non-governmental organisation working for the welfare of special people with its head office in Karachi.

Jafar Shah himself being physically handicapped appreciated those who were physically robust but had joined the organisation due to their commitment for the disabled.

Apna Sahara, he said, had decided to spread its network throughout Sindh beginning from Hyderabad.

Ghluam Rasool Chishti had been assigned to preparing a list of special persons and getting in touch with philanthropists to collect Zakat and Fitra for them, he said.
