KARACHI, Sept 16: The Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba (IJT) staged demonstrations in various parts of the city on Sunday to protest against the killing of its activists in an attack on a minibus last week.

Students and supporters of the organisation held demonstrations in front of various mosques after Zuhar prayers and raised slogans against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and asked the government to get all those involved in the attack arrested.

The demonstrations were held in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Malir, Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Nazimabad, Orangi, Baldia, Clifton, Old Town, Lyari, Mehmoodabad, North Karachi, Buffer Zone, New Karachi, Gulberg, Jauharabad, Shadman Town, etc.

A spokesman for the IJT said a Quran Khwani would be held at the Karachi University campus on Monday.
