KARACHI, Sept 14: The Pakistan Railways’s Karachi Division has put some 15,000 berths and seats in 27 mail, express and passenger trains emanating from Karachi City and Cantonment stations for reservation on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

The process of reservation has been started this time one month in advance for the convenience of travellers, according to the PR authorities.

Deputy Divisional Superintendent, Karachi Division, Maqsoodun Nabi told APP on Friday that on the directive of Railways Minister Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed, fares had been reduced by 25 per cent for travel during the first 15 days of Ramazan.

The Railways has also introduced sale of tickets through the post offices linked with the Railway’s reservation system.

The online service for reservation is also available for return journey.
