KARACHI, March 15: The ongoing exhibition of flowers and books at the Arts Council will now continue till Saturday, says a press release.

It adds that the library committee and horticultural committee of the Arts Council have extended the concluding date of the exhibition to Saturday.

On Saturday, the exhibition will continue till 11pm.

Thousands of flower pots, placed tastefully on the veranda of the Arts Council, drew many flower admirers who spent a lot of time scanning various types of flowers on display. They compared notes with each other about the art of growing flowers.

Apart from fresh flowers, fake ones were also being sold. There was a stall of clay and plastic pots which were also in great demand. In the garden next to the veranda at least 14 book stalls displayed old books as book lovers moved from one stall to another. In the centre of the garden a book stall sold new computer books only.
