KARACHI, Sept 6: Three ships carrying containers, coal and LPG were accommodated berths at QICT, MPT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said

a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, another container vessel also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 80 per cent as 10 ships, ACX Jasmine, Tulip, Maersk, Ohio, Safaga, Mutha Pioneer, Trustful, Jin U, Sigas, Sigas Silva, Warbah and Multan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, diesel oil, LPG and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 69,859 tons comprising 42,023 tons of import and 27,836 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Maersk Ohio, CMA CGM Tulip, Warbah, Mutha Pioneer, Sigas Silvia and Multan left the port.
