Jirga to hold talks with Taliban

GHALANAI, Sept 5: A local jirga headed by MNA Maulana Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq will hold talks with Taliban on Thursday to secure release of two kidnapped personnel of a secrete agency.

The two personnel had been kidnapped on Monday last when they were going from

Bajaur to Mohmand Agency in Qandaro area of Lakaro tehsil.

Maulana Sadiq told Dawn that they would hold talks with the militants to secure officials’ release.

The militants had released 10 personnel of the Frontier Corps on Tuesday night after keeping them in captivity for three days.

Meanwhile, the political authorities have not released 30 Safi tribesmen who had been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of soldiers.
