NAWABSHAH, Sept 5: A man shot dead his wife, Razia, 24, over a petty domestic dispute in the Nawab Wali Mohammed village near Qazi Ahmed on Wednesday.
Ms Hajira, the woman’s mother, lodged an FIR against the accused, Nazeer Ahmed Kalhoro, who accused escaped after the crime.
SUICIDE: A married woman Shamshad, 22, committed suicide by shooting herself over some family problems in the Noor Mohammad Zardari village near Daur on Wednesday.
DEMO: A large number of people staged a rally and a demonstration in Sakrand in protest against unannounced load-shedding on Wednesday.
The rally stared from Chandio petrol pump and after passing through main thoroughfares, terminated at the Hotel Motel Chowk.
Ghulam Nabi Keerio, Hussain Rajput and Qamar Buriro said that they had made several complaints to the officials concerned against unannounced load-shedding in the town but nobody appeared to take them seriously.
