LARKANA, Aug 23: Three students were injured when the roof a room of the government higher secondary school Khairpur Juso collapsed on Thursday.

The injured students were identified as Haleem Tunio, Rizwan Mughiri and Anis Mughiri.

The students protested over the incident and the school was closed later.

POWER SUPPLY DISRUPTED: The electricity supply to Warah town and 350 other villages linked with the area grid station has been suspended since the past 24 hours after a pylon was destroyed due to the storm.

The town and villages remained without power since 4pm on Wednesday.

The Hesco authorities had started repair work.

CANAL BREACH: A 30-feet breach has occurred in Tunia minor the offshoot of Warah canal at RD-7 on Thursday and inundated 200 acres of land and damaged the standing paddy crop.

The local people and irrigation staff later plugged the breach.
