HYDERABAD, Aug 9: The Sindh chapter of the All-Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) on Thursday staged a demonstration outside the press club in protest against the government’s delay in upgrading clerical staff.

APCA Sindh General Secretary Ashraf Khan Bozai and office-bearers Noor Mohammad Shaikh and Shabbir Mallah said that the prime minister had issued orders for the upgradation of government employees but the Sindh government was not implementing them.

They complained that the government was ignoring the principle of giving job to the employees’ children and merit and said that the vacancies for grade-5 to 16 were being filled on political basis in different departments. If justice was not done to them they would spread their protest throughout the province, they warned.
