KARACHI, July 30: The district and sessions judge, South, Zaheeruddin Ahmed S. Leghari, on Monday adjourned the hearing of a case against Minority Member of the Sindh Assembly Mukesh Kumar Chawla till Aug 18 for the hearing.

The MPA is facing a case registered by the Preedy police under Sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 392, 353/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code for allegedly quarrelling with Special Branch officials during the Senate elections on March 6, 2006 in the Sindh Assembly building. The case was registered by DSP Fateh Mohammad.

Court sources said the case could not be processed and the date was changed as Investigation Officer Suhail Akhtar Sulehi could not reach the court on time.
