LARKANA, July 20: Expressing concern over the increasing number of cases of Hepatitis B and C in Larkana district, the district council called for adequate supply of medicines to contain the problem.

Drawing the attention of the house towards the problem in its Friday’s session, , ADP member Ms Nasiban Channa, said that Hepatitis B and C had attained an alarming proportion in the district and medicine stock at the Chandka Medical College Hospital was insufficient to meet the demand.

She said the hospital management was avoiding to register fresh cases as it was not receiving the required quantity of medicines.

This is quite a serious phenomena and the district government should take steps to address this issue, she said.

The house adopted the resolution with one voice.
