KARACHI, March 8: The mega projects for the city worth billions of rupees came under a thorough review at a high-level meeting held under the chairmanship of President General Pervez Musharraf at the governor’s house here on Friday.

The Sindh chief secretary briefed the meeting about the progress of work and pace of implementation of these projects.

The President directed that these projects should be carried out on a fast track.

The projects reviewed include the Lyari Expressway, the Northern Bypass, the Shah Faisal flyover, the revitalization of the Karachi Circular Railways, the 100 MGD K-III water supply scheme, Left Bank Outfall Drain, disposal and regularization of 260 buildings in Karachi, revival of the Karachi Milk Plant, the sports complex, the trauma centre, the Arts Council auditorium, etc.
