KARACHI, July 12: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi (BSEK) on Thursday announced the results of SSC part-II (General Group) annual examinations 2007. Anum Khan (seat no 733642) of Mama Parsi Girls School clinched the first position with 90.35 per cent marks, Mohammad Saif (seat no 662840) of BVS Parsi High School and Nida Zamir (seat no 725682) of PECHS Girls School shared the second position with 90.24 per cent, while Mohammad Alamdar Raza (seat no 662833) of BVS Parsi High School stood third with 89.41 per cent.

As many as 26,665 candidates appeared in the exams of which 19, 210 were declared successful. The pass percentage remained at 72.04. A total of 260 candidates secured A-I grade and 1,374 got A grade, 3,129 secured B grade and 6,793 candidates got C grade and 5,502 got D grade and 1,162 qualified the exams with E grade.

A BSEK statement said that the marks statements would be issued after two weeks.

Meanwhile, the BSEK also announced the results of the private candidates of SSC part-II annual examination 2007 of the General Group.—PPI/APP
