Punjab women’s karate today

LAHORE, June 23: Events of three different categories will be held at the Punjab Women’s Karate Championship on Sunday.

The events are kumite, individual kata and team kata. In kumite, the contest will be organised in five weight categories including below 44kg, 48, 53, 60 and above 60.

The championship will be organised under the new rules of the World Karate Federation.

The winners will be selected in the Punjab team to participate in the National Women’s Karate Championship in July.

Girls from Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Hafizabad, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Khanewal and Sheikhupura will participate in the championship.
