SHIKARPUR, June 20: The Jatoi-Mahar tribal feud claimed three more lives on Wednesday when two men were killed in a clash and another in an ambush. Shahmir Tarat Jatoi and Abdul Hameed Tarat Jatoi were killed in an armed clash between Mahar and Jatoi tribesmen in a village in the Lakhi Ghulam Shah area.

Later, the relatives of those killed blocked the Lakhi-Naudero road near Lakhi railway crossing by putting the bodies on the road. The protesters demanded early arrest of the killers.

On the intervention of police officers, the road was reopened for vehicular traffic after three hours.

No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, Manzoor Ahmed Jatoi, resident of Momin Kursi Jatoi, was shot dead by a group of armed Mahar clansmen when he was going to Shikarpur to sell his cattle.

Nek Mohammad Jatoi, father of deceased, has lodged an FIR with the Rustam police against 40 accused, including Sono Mahar, Rajab Mahar and Nizam Mahar.

A number of people had earlier been killed in the tribal feud.
