LAHORE, June 10: Fancied bay filly Noor, put up a grand performance to land the feature event during the day/night Lahore Summer Meeting at the racecourse on Sunday.

The filly confidently backed at half-money favourite, produced an excellent turn of foot to register a one and a half lengths success over Great Murad, who nosed out Royal Fish to third position among nine runners.

Earlier in the fourth and supporting event, bay horse Big Bird came with a strong run to win the race.

The 40-to-100 favourite beat Moj Mayla by over four lengths. Blue Fire finished third by nine lengths with Punjaban fourth, another nine lengths behind.

Five-year-old bay horse, Rough Tough, caused the only upset of the day when he beat favourite mare Remember You by three lengths. Later Rough Tough survived an objection lodged by Javed Iqbal, the rider of Remember You for crossing soon after the start of the race. The LRC stewards took no time to dispose of the objection.
