LAHORE, June 4: The 14-day long Asian Football Confederation (AFC) C-Certificate coaching course under the guidance of Iranian instructor Majid Jalali started at FIFA House, on Monday.

Majid in his first lecture introduced the participants to the profession of coaching football explaining the rules of the game.

Later in a practical session the focus was on warm-up and ball feeling to improve movement and rhythm.

Majid, pointed out that that playing football, for most of the people was an easy sport. But to be aware of the technical aspects of the game was an entirely different ball game altogether. Although the sport was gaining popularity, the training infrastructure was woefully inadequate, he said.

In all, 24 candidates are attending the course
