HYDERABAD, March 2: A large number of residents of Noorani Basti, Mehboob town, Paretabad, including women, staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday against the builder mafia.

Talking to newsmen, they said that they were living in Mehboob town, Paretabad and kutcha abadi, for the last 20 years and their case was also pending in the court of law.

They said that they were being constantly harassed by an influential person Nadir Hussain, who claimed to be the owner of the said land.

The residents said that Nadir Hussain during the last 12 years had not been able to produce any documentary evidence to prove the ownership of the land.

They appealed to the higher authorities to protect their families against the alleged excesses of Nadir Hussain.
