PESHAWAR, June 3: Federal Minister for Culture Dr G.G. Jamal has urged elders of Hangu district to work for peace in the area.

Addressing the annual day function of the Government Higher Secondary School in Dauba on Sunday, the minister said that intolerance had disturbed the peaceful atmosphere in Hangu and asked the people to extend a helping hand to the administration in maintaining peace and security.

Dr Jamal called upon students to concentrate on modern scientific and technical education. He said that more emphasis was now being given to technical education and vocational training to expand the economy’s technical base. The minister said that Sui gas would be provided to Dauba and its surrounding villages for which a survey had already been done.—APP
