HYDERABAD, May 31: Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in several cities and towns of interior Sindh on Thursday, to protest the presidential reference filed against Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhry.

A large number of lawyers in Hyderabad brought out a rally from court premises which terminated at the press club. Activists of the PPP, the PML-N, the STP and the JI also joined lawyers.

Fazal Qadir Memon, Noorul Haq Qureshi, Abdul Qadir Laghari and other lawyers vowed to continue their struggle till its logical conclusion.

Later, many lawyers left for Abbotabad to attend the lawyers’ convention to be addressed by the CJP.

MIRPURKHAS: Members of the District Bar Association boycotted court proceedings and took out a rally.

Lawyers boycotted court proceedings in Nawabshah, Jacobabad and other cities.
