NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 31: A man was shot dead allegedly by the Jatoi tribesmen in Bhaunr village in Mohbat Dero over marriage of a girl of Jatoi clan. Twenty-two-year old Sheru, s/o Karim Bux Hisbani, was having tea in a shop when nine armed men opened fire killing him instantly. The body which kept lying for two hours was later taken to the Kandiaro Taluka Hospital where it was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.

Bakhshal, brother of the deceased, lodged an FIR under section 302, 148, 149 PPC with Mohbat Dero police against Qadir Bux, Asghar, Tajammul, Gulsher, Kajlo, Luqman, Majno, Aijaz and Basheer, all Jatoi by caste.

Complainant said Riaz Hasbani cousin of the deceased had married a girl of Jatoi clan some few months back upon which the tribesmen hurled threats of murder.

Later both appeared before the Sindh High Court Sukkur bench where Sanam Jatoi was allowed to go with her husband.

Sanam's mother, maternal grandmother, brothers and sisters were confined to Fateh Jatoi village. However, mother after managing to come out of the confinement submitted an application before sessions judge Naushahro Feroze over detention of her children by Jatoi tribesmen.

About three weeks back Sanam's mother, maternal grandmother and two brothers were again kidnapped by the Jatoi tribesmen from a bus and taken to Jatoi village. Mother of Sanam was pressurised to tell the press that she and her family had not been confined by Jatois but by Hisbanis.

Sanam's brother in a press conference appealed to higher authorities to recover his mother, brothers, sisters and maternal grandmother.

Some few days back, Sanam Jatoi submitted an application before the Sindh High Court Sukkur bench wherein the court issued order to recover her mother and other relatives and produce them before court.

Mohbat Dero police recovered her mother and two brothers and produced them before court, while others will be produced on June 1.

Mohbat Dero police and judicial magistrate Altaf Hussain Dayo raided the village and recovered Hatul, grandmother of Sanam, on Wednesday.
