LAHORE, May 29: Ravi Town CIA staff arrested two people on Tuesday who murdered a 65-year-old woman in her house at Muslim Park, Rajgarh, on May 10.

The accused, identified as Amir Ali and Waqas, who lived with Razia, confessed that they had killed their aunt to grab her property. Sanda police have registered a case.

A team, which was constituted by the DIG investigation and led by the Ravi Town CIA DSP, gathered details from the locals and found her nephew Amir absent from the house while her other nephew Waqas was in a state of anxiety.

Waqas was questioned who confessed that they had murdered their aunt to grab her house and after the incident they raised an alarm that robbers had killed her on resistance.

The police recovered a pistol from their possession.

Three arrested: Ghalib Market police registered a case against five people on Tuesday who allegedly trespassed on a woman’s house and manhandled her and her two daughters, besides resorting to aerial firing.

Three accused Dawar Miraj, Feezan Akram and Mohammad Ramzan were arrested from the spot by the police, while the other two managed their escape.

The complainant, Farah Deeba, wife of Mohammad Azad, told police that Dawar Miraj wanted to marry her daughter Rabia but she turned down the proposal. The accused had nurtured grudge against Rabia.

On Tuesday, Dawar came to Farah’s Gulberg residence along with his six armed henchmen and severely thrashed her and her daughters Afza and Rabia with kicks and fists.

The accused also ransacked the furniture and smashed windowpanes of the house.

A case was registered under sections 395/452/342/354/A/ 337/H2 of the PPC.
