KARACHI, May 24: The chief controller of the Karachi Buildings Control Authority (KBCA), Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, has directed the officials concerned to ensure immediate implementation of court orders regarding construction-related cases and submit a report to him at the earliest.

He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting here on Thursday. The KBCA chief asked officials to coordinate with the legal section and extend all-out support.

Mr Farooqui also directed buildings control officers of all the towns to check certificate reports themselves regarding plinth level by the end of every month and take action against any illegal act because it was necessary to root out illegal constructions in the initial phase.

He stressed the need to further activate the legal section of the KBCA and asked officials to dispose of all pending cases at the earliest.—PPI
