MONTE CARLO (Monaco), May 16: This year’s World Athletics Championships will offer more than US$7 million in prize money. Individual champions will win US$60,000 each, with US$30,000 for second place and US$20,000 for the third, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said on Wednesday.
Relay teams will get US$80,000 for gold, while athletes who set a world record will receive a US$100,000 bonus.—AP
