KARACHI, May 9: An open kutchery was held under the chairmanship of Senior Controller Ali Zafar Qadri on Wednesday, on the directives of the Chief Controller, Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA), Rauf Akhtar Farooqi, a press release said.

Orders were issued for post-inspection action against the illegal fourth floor construction at Ghulam Mohammed Jallundhry building in Bohra Pir.

Residents had complained that the building was old and its structure weak, hence it could not support any further construction.

Regarding complaints against the construction of project Al-Najeebi Electronics Bazaar on plot No 33 and 34, sheet No PR-2, Preedy Street, it was informed that the matter is sub-judice and the KBCA’s legal advisor was asked to look into the issue.

Imran Ahmed, in his complaint against Lakhani Deluxe Tower project, said the builder and his office staff had made a false statement that it was located on a 350 feet wide road, whereas it was located on a 40 feet wide road.

On the complainant’s request that his money — paid for booking seven flats and three shops — be reimbursed, the senior controller asked the officer concerned to get the matter resolved.

Meanwhile Mr Qadri also issued directives for post-inspection action in respect of complaints against illegal constructions without plan on Plot No C-29, Block-17, F.B. Area; constructions in violation of compulsory open space on Plot No 107-B, Mohammed Ali Society, Jamshed Town and Plot No 4-B/5/2, Nazimabad and illegal constructions on Plot No 335, Ittefaq Colony, Sheet No 1, Orangi Town; Plot No 487-B, Block 7 and 8, Kathiawar Cooperative Housing Society.

He issued a directive for the immediate demolition of extended constructions at the main gate of Momin Square on Plot No FL-10, Block-6 Gulshan-i-Iqbal.—APP
