RAWALPINDI, May 1: The All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association took out a rally in favour of President Pervez Musharraf on the International Labour Day here on Tuesday.

The rally which originated from Soan turned into a public meeting on Murree Road near the Rawalpindi Press club, where the participants chanted slogans in favour of President Musharraf.

In the end, a ceremony was held in new Lalazar ground in which hundreds of labourers participated.

The ceremony was presided over by association general secretary Raja Mohammad Saeed.

Speaking on the occasion, association leaders including Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, Raja Farooq Ahmad and Raja Sheraz Ahmed said labourers played important role in the development of any country.

They said labourers were living without the basic necessities of life in the modern era and were being exploited by feudal and capitalists.—Online
