ISLAMABAD, April 30: The traders of the tehsil bazaar Charsadda observed a complete strike on Monday to protest against the April 28 suicide attack on the interior minister.

Lawyers announced a three-day mourning period and boycott of the court proceedings.

All shops in the bazaar remained closed.

The Anjuman Shopkeepers Association held a protest meeting at the Faruque Azam Chowk that was attended by hundreds of traders, a television channel reported.

Charsadda lawyers and journalists also organised meetings. The Charsadda district bar association announced a three-day boycott of the court proceedings to protest against the incident, and a three-day mourning period for the loss of innocent lives.—APP
