PESHAWAR, April 27: Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Maulana Amanullah Haqqani has said that construction work on the Adezai Matni dam will start soon. He added that the dam would irrigate 14,000 acres in five union councils of Peshawar district.

He said this while addressing a meeting of JUI(F) leaders and members of its executive body at Adezai, Peshawar, on Friday. He also claimed that the provincial government had initiated important development projects in the province for the first time.

He said that construction of the dam would boost the agricultural sector.

The meeting was also addressed by General Secretary JUI(F) District Peshawar Qari Rafique Shah, Naib Ameer Ayub Mohmand, Ameer PF 10 Qari Mohammad Ishaq and General Secretary Qari Shamsur Rehman.—APP
