HYDERABAD, April 22: The Sindh Chamber of Agriculture (SCA) announced on Sunday that it would boycott the `best wheat growers’ awards ceremony, saying award nominations were based on nepotism.

A meeting of the chamber was held under the chairmanship of Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah which discussed the procedure in giving the best wheat grower award.

Mr Shah condemned the procedure adopted by the government and said whether the award was given by the prime minister or the chief minister, the SCA would boycott the ceremony and hold a protest demonstration on that day. —Bureau
